Imagine our surprise this morning when we opened the fresh bag of bizcochos and found Dolce Gabbana Bizcochos for the doggies!!!
What are bizcochos? In Costa Rica, they are baked cheese and cornmeal rings. And you would think that they are doggie crack because of the way that Mocha and Pelulu act when a bag is open. They both sit extremely still, drooling in eager anticipation of the next bizcocho treat from Julio. Of course, bizcochos are not meant to be dog treats – they are actually made for people. Every morning, Julio and I sit outside by the garden while we drink coffee and eat bizcochos. Julio eats one bizcocho for himself, then gives one bizcocho to Mocha and Pelulu.
So, back to this morning. Our normal bag of bizcochos was blessed with a couple that were stuck together and the doggies benefited from a bizcocho makeover.
